Signs Your Spouse is Cheating
So you suspect your partner is cheating on you, eh? There are some definite signs of cheating that you should look for. Here are some of them. While these are not absolute proof, you should be careful when he or she…

- Stops confiding in you. May begin to ask more advice of a friend or coworker.
- Suddenly changes behavior: becoming more secretive, distant, angry, or nervous
- Buys a cell phone and won’t let you see it
- Becomes less intimate… or suddenly wants to be more intimate more often
- Travels alone more often. Usually “for work.”
- Has more business meetings later into the evening or earlier in the morning
- Is less in contact during the day via phone and email
- Won’t let you read his or her e-mail, IM, or text messages
- Has a sudden change in interests: music, food, movies, etc.
- Stops wearing a wedding ring. Makes an excuse for it
- He buys new underwear (at all) or she buys some sexier stuff
- Claims to work more overtime, yet it doesn’t show up in the paycheck
- Paycheck bring-home pay drops
- Takes long absences from the home, when they shouldn’t take that long (i.e. 5 hour lunch)
- New sneaking, erratic behavior
- Suddenly hangs up the telephone when you enter the room
- Becomes more attentive to you or begins to lavish you with gifts
- Picks a fight about stupid stuff just to have an excuse to storm out of the house for a few hours
- Stops saying “I love you” or complimenting you. Can also go the other way, i.e., compliments you a lot more for no apparent reason
- Pays less attention to you, your children and family, your home, etc. Talks more about friends, coworkers, etc.
Remember, these are signs, not proof. You can follow your gut instincts on the signs, but don’t jump to conclusions until you have absolute proof of cheating. Then you need to take action.
