My Boyfriend Cheated And I Need To Know Why
Living with the ‘why?’ is often the hardest part of learning about a cheating boyfriend. The anger, doubt, and hurt you feel will last for months.. Sometimes you’ll feel all three things at once. There will be other times when you can’t even really put a finger on what you’re feeling. You just want the world to go away and leave you to suffer in silence.
Unfortunately, the real world is not so kind. It keeps on turning and you must continue doing what is necessary to go from one day to the next – even though you feel like you’re being crushed by the knowledge that your boyfriend cheated on you.

The problem is, he either can’t or won’t give you an answer. The odds are that it’s not something he can put a finger on. For most guys it’s about the way the other woman makes them feel. Sadly but honestly, even if your guy knew why; he’d probably never put it in words for you to hear – assuming that he allows himself to believe the truth.
Make no mistake about it. No one is condoning cheating. No one is laying blame at your feet, as the victim either. It’s important to understand this. He still knew what he was doing and he knew that it could bring a lot of harm to the relationship.
But, most men, especially those in a loving, committed relationship, don’t cheat because the other woman is more attractive, wears a certain size dress, or has a perfect figure. It’s rarely something as simple to that – even though you will compare every centimeter of the other woman’s (assuming you know who she is) body to yours and find every potential flaw in your own magnified 10 times over.
Here’s the honest answer for the vast majority of men in this situation.
And it’s a REAL shocker.
She made him FEEL respected and ADMIRED!
In other words, she made him feel the same way you did back when you first started dating.
It’s hard to hear; but it’s true. He fell in love with you the way you were in the beginning. He fell in love with you because you made him feel like Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson in Titanic: ‘King of the World!’
He fell in love with YOU because you admired him and gave him the respect he needed – even though he may never be able to put it into those words. His feelings about you were directly related to your feelings about him. Attraction aside if you make a man feel powerful, wonderful, and worthy of respect – it’s more effective than the average love potion or aphrodisiac.
But the real question you need to ask yourself is why you need to know. Is it to confirm that it wasn’t your fault? Is it to prevent it from happening again?
